The question that we most fear to ask ourselves and one another must be asked. Don’t let your mind get out of order because we all know we are going to die one day; we just don’t know when. Are you ready or prepared to die? Believe it or not, it will not make a difference or change it. Each time someone dies, it is proof that God exists, the Bible is the book of infallible truth whose writings can be trusted, and the only wise God of this universe is still in charge. You say you are ready to die, but are you? Do you truly know that dying is just leaving this world of time, putting off this flesh to begin a life eternal? Are you ready for that day? Am I ready for that day? This is the greatest question of all our lives that is left unanswered. The Bible puts it this way: ‘Prepare to meet thy God.’ Prepared or not, death will not wait!
Accompanying Bible Verses:
- Hebrews 9:27 (NIV): “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.”
- Matthew 24:44 (NIV): “So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
- Amos 4:12 (NIV): “Prepare to meet your God, Israel, because he who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to mankind, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth— the Lord God Almighty is his name.”
This is today’s crosspoint. Have a blessed day!
