Jesus came filled with the love of God for us. Since His death on the cross, the world has been doing everything possible to love like Jesus loved and walk as He walked but at the same time wants to have nothing to do with HIM. That’s just the way the devil acts, for he (the devil) comes only to kill, steal, and destroy, but Jesus comes to give life, life in more abundance. The world cannot have the love of God and hate Him. While God’s love is given freely, it’s not given to those who hate Jesus, and it’s not possible to steal from God. God will give many things to us out of His love toward us, but unless one believes in Jesus Christ and makes Him Lord of their life, this love they will not receive. You can steal from anyone, but from God, you cannot. And one cannot decide to make Him Lord of their life to get His love. God knows the intent of the heart and the thoughts too, so that won’t work.
Therefore, in this age, society, and culture, love is lacking—the love of God and genuine love for one another—because it is despised. Today, it’s most important to keep God first and foremost in your life, look to Him, for He is the author and finisher of all living.
