A man driving home from work had a heart attack and died, but in the process, he crashed into another vehicle, seriously injuring one of its occupants and killing another. This was beyond anyone’s control, and neither was God responsible. Yet, the family of those injured and the man who died became angry with God and could not think of forgiving the man for having the heart attack, thus causing the accident.
Yet, consider this: Jesus was crucified and beaten mercilessly, doing nothing wrong. Even the reason for His crucifixion, written on the cross on which He hung, said only ‘KING OF THE JEWS.’ While we are often angry for so many things and find it hard to forgive, Jesus, after being nailed to the cross, was mocked, ridiculed, and spat upon. Yet, He prayed, ‘Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.’
Remember, very often, we are hurt by others who truly have no idea what they did. If Jesus could forgive them, why can’t you forgive also? Remember, God has forgiven you.
This is today’s crosspoint. Have a blessed day.”
